Access in Action
A Course by Jamie Shields
Back by popular demand. This four-week live course on digital accessibility is for individuals and organisations who want to stop excluding Disabled people online.
The next cohort begins Feb 2026.

Why This Course
Digital content is full of hidden barriers that shut Disabled people out, often without anyone realising. From inaccessible images and confusing language to unreadable layouts and videos without captions, exclusion is baked into the way content is made and shared.
Access in Action gives you the knowledge, skills and confidence to build accessibility into everything you do. It’s practical, grounded in lived experience, and designed to create real change
This course isn’t about throwing rules at you. It’s about supporting you to make an equitable difference, and about breaking down the disabling barriers that have excluded people like me, and countless others, for far too long.
This course is brought to you by Jamie Shields, multi-award-winning Disabled Content Creator, Advocate, Trainer, and Speaker, and your unapologetically loud Registered Blind AuDHD Rhino. Jamie doesn’t just talk about dismantling barriers, he charges at them headfirst, armed with lived experience, sharp wit, and a refusal to sugarcoat the truth. His training is high-energy, brutally honest, and refreshingly real. Expect passion, belly laughs, and a whole lot of “no fluff” insight that leaves you thinking, feeling, and ready to act.

This course is a must for anyone wanting to start learning about accessibility or wishing to enhance their own understanding. – Past Attendee
