What You Will Learn Week By Week

Week 1 – Understanding Accessibility

  • What accessibility really means (beyond box-ticking).
  • The real-world impact of inaccessible design.
  • The barriers Disabled people experience online.
  • Challenging assumptions and ableism in digital spaces.
  • Accountability for digital accessibility

Week 2 – Creating Accessible Content

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
  • Universal design and why it matters.
  • Writing and structuring content.
  • Colour and how to use it accessibly.
  • Using images, video, and audio inclusively.
  • Emojis, hashtags and everything in between.

16th February 2026 – 2pm to 4pm GMT

  • How to check accessibility in your own work.
  • Assistive technology and user experience.
  • Practical tips for social media, websites, and documents.
  • Tools and usability testing.

23rd February – 2pm to 4pm GMT

  • Policies, processes, and everyday practice.
  • Bringing others on board and building a culture of inclusion.
  • Personal and organisational action plans.
  • Making an accessible difference.
  • Setting you up for accessible success.
